HANDICRAFT CENTER

Handicraft villages came into existence in Cameroon.
Thanks to Decree N°. 2013/009/P.M. of 07 January
2013 bearing on the creation of handicraft villages.
According to this decree, handicraft villages are classified under three categories, namely:
International Handicraft Centres
Regional Handicraft Villages
Local Handicraft Villages.
The Bamenda Regional Handicraft Village is one of the ten handicraft villages so far constructed and made operational by the ministry of small and medi-um-sized enterprises, Social Economy and Handi-crafts. It is open to Craft persons and Craft enterprises from the entire Region who fulfilled the necessary conditions by registering with the craft offices of their respective council areas.
